SYOT

SYOT is an electronic jazz trio from Seoul drawing inspiration from Korean traditional music. Producer and multi-instrumentalist G.QOO, jazz pianist and vocalist Hanbeen Park, and Gayageum player Yoolim Lee make music that moves the body and rewards close listening.

The Gayageum’s sharp attacks give the grooves their bite, while jazz-rich piano harmonies and fluid phrasing answer its bending melodies. Bass and electronics turn that exchange into dance-floor momentum.

With their debut album NAVI and subsequent singles, SYOT continues to sharpen a sound rooted in Korean tradition, jazz and electronic music. Their recorded work has been featured in COLORS’ Listen series, while NAVI has been reviewed by Songlines, MESMERIZED and other music publications.

On stage, the trio brings that sound to life through dynamic interplay, with appearances at the Jeonju International Sori Festival’s Sori Choice programme and Seoul Music Week.
